About Me

I am a 2014 graduate of St. Johns Public Schools and am proud to call the St. Johns community my home.

After high school I attended Central Michigan University, where I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in political science and minoring in environmental studies.

I began my professional career working as a Journal Clerk at the Michigan Senate, putting together the official record of Senate activity and assisting with the flow of activity during session. In August of 2021 I moved over to the Michigan Department of Corrections, where I assisted with legislative affairs. In 2024 I moved back to the Senate and since then have served as a policy advisor. I cover the areas of education, finance, insurance, and consumer protection, analyzing bills, performing research, and providing advice to members and staff on those areas.

I consider myself a lifelong learner and view education as an important experience in a person's life. In 2025 I completed my Master of Public Administration degree at Grand Valley State University. Through this degree program, I took courses in school finance, school law, special education law, and public financial administration. These courses have helped to make me a more effective professional and school board member.

In my free time I enjoy running, reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
